I have been working on expanding my color palette by creating a series of paintings studying a reflective object (the can) and painting it over and over again in different positions observing and painting its color change each time.  In this series I am using a single can and moving it each time I paint it to state the idea that the colors change with every move.  This also allows me to study many different colors and has had a good impact on my general palette.
